Julian has been a resident in Portugal since 2016 and brings a unique global perspective, having been born in Kenya, raised in South Africa, and worked in London before making Portugal his home.
As General Partner at Tejo Ventures, which he co-founded in 2021 with Yann Rey, Julian focuses on sustainable investments like solar infrastructure that support Portugal’s energy transition while offering investors residency pathways.
He built and sold three companies, with a track record that includes two unicorns and an IPO. An alumnus of Al Gore’s Climate Leadership Program, Julian is passionate about climate action and supports purpose-driven startups in health tech, clean energy, and education.
